How to draw DIAMOND PANES

Zentangle Pattern: Diamond PanesArtist and CZT® Margaret Bremner created the steps for drawing the tangle pattern Diamond Panes. Her inspiration? “I bought a book of bargello needlework patterns for cheap from the library’s clear-out bin… There were some good ideas in there. One, called Diamond Panes, was easily adaptable to drawing although step two is a little tricky.” This is Margaret’s illustration used with her kind permission.

According to WikiPedia, “Bargello is a type of needlepoint embroidery consisting of upright flat stitches laid in a mathematical pattern to create motifs. The name originates from a series of chairs found in the Bargello palace in Florence, which have a ‘flame stitch’ pattern.”
