SeZ is an unusual tangle pattern in that it comes from sprinkling seeds on your tile. No kidding. Actually, you can probably do without the food part and just place dots in a random pattern all over the tile — which is what I did here. But the seeds would be fun.

SeZ is a Zentangle®-original tangle designed by co-founder Rick Roberts, “inspired by an aboriginal painting“. The link to Maria’s illustrated instructions for this tangle is here.

I’ve been drawing tangle pattern SeZ. It SeZ to draw a “reverse aura” around the circles. What is a reverse aura?
If you look at the photo directly under the words “he added a thick “reverse aura” . . .”, in the upper left corner of the photo you can see where he drew an aura out to the edge of his string, and that’s what Maria is referring to there. The aura isn’t completely around an object, it outlines the space to the string. I think she was just coining a phrase for what he did there and around the rest of the tile where the “thick bits” are. Hope that helped?
