I hope you enjoy the site and are inspired by the patterns you find here. Please feel free to add your thoughts in the comments on any page and join in the community.
If you are new to Zentangle®, I suggest you visit this page first to get an idea of what this site is about.
Here’s another resource that’s handy for newcomers – Exploring TanglePatterns. And check out the rest of the pages along the menu at the top of every page – there’s a wealth of information there you’ll want to see.

By Linda Farmer, CZT  Today’s tangle is named Loopy and it’s shared by tangler Veronica Szczerba of San Diego, CA.
“I go by my nickname Ronnie. My last name looks very difficult but actually if you leave off all the consonants, it’s quite easy and pronounced ‘Sir ba.’ It’s of Polish origins.” This is Ronnie’s first tangle on the site.
In my example I’ve drawn back-to-back versions of Loopy as Ronnie has shown in her Zentangle® below, and I’ve displayed it vertically. As Ronnie points out you can also use Loopy as a border tangle pattern. I like how Loopy seems to have a kind of “tribal” look to it, and of course it’s very easy to draw “one stroke at a time”.

Bear in mind that Zentangle® strings are guidelines. You can use a string exactly as it is or adapt it to suit as your Zentangle grows. Start with the string as it’s shown then, as you go, combine sections if your tangles want to, or divide a section into smaller ones. Go with the flow and enjoy.
